mnstudio
Is it possible to install Vintage B3 on Logic 9?
des99
Logic 9 comes with the EVB3, which i the same plugin (the GUi was given an overhaul for LPX). So yes, the Organ instrument plugin is in LP9.
mnstudio
Ah ok. Thank you very much. It's for my friend who has L9. I have LPX. But he has Logic Express. So is it possible to install EVB3 on it? And how can it be done?
Solution des99 Posted October 13, 2021 Solution Share Posted October 13, 2021 No, you can't "install" these things, as they are not separate components, they are part of Logic. If you are using a cut down version of Logic which doesn't have these features, you can't selectively import those features into it from the full version - you'd need to actually use the full version. You can also find/buy third-party organ instrument plugins though which you can use in whatever DAW you want, as an alternative.
mnstudio
I see. Thank you so much
David Nahmani
A workaround if you can find a copy of MainStage is to use MainStage as a standalone EVB3 that is triggered from Logic, and reroute MainStage audio output to Logic... for example with SoundFlower.
