Bauss
Hey guys, this has been plaguing me for months (since 10.6.1) so any answer would be amazing. When using Melodyne (ARA), Any vocal running thru melodyn is playing early. I recall there was a change to delay compensation in recent versions of logic (after 10.6)... Could that have anything to do with it? - When I turn on low latency mode, expected timing returns - Doesn't matter how I bus the track or what else is on it, when Melodyne is on, vocals play slightly early and when it off they dont - Using MBP '19 running latest Mac OS and logic with UA Apollo Twin Mk II Any ideas? rasmusmarshagen
Yeah noticed that too... Maybe this one needs to fixed from Celemony i don't know. Since I don't have these issues with any other plugins.
michaelfone
I'm also having this issue, I find if you put a sample delay right after Melodyne set to roughly 70ms, it puts it back into sync.
noisyneil
Same here. Very annoying!
kbluemel
Same here, if I use, e.g., Nectar 3 (with high latency) behind Melodyne (even without ARA)! Any remedy?
kbluemel
Addendum: After recording the audio in Melodyne (without ARA) the audio-blobs are visual delayed but the playback is correct, yet. But if one quantizes the audio (--> blobs are shifted to the downbeats etc.) in Melodyne then the playback is about 70 ms to early! (that's what Michaelfone found for the ARA version) - Remedy: Delete other plugins on this track which have large latencies, or use a sample delay with about 70 ms on the track after Melodyne (see post of Michaelfone above). kbluemel
If I create a new project in Logic and create similar tracks, routings, side chains and effects in this project, everything works correctly. I know this from old projects: If there is any latency "error" it can only be corrected if one starts in a new project from the beginning. Or if one uses the remedy with the 70 ms delay (or other values; it depends on the used plugins). The problem why this happens in the old project, remains...!!!??? alex_studio
you have switch multithreading from live tracks to playback only, I think
kbluemel
Thank you, Alex_studio, for the hint and telling me your assumption. But I did not switch from live tracks to playback only. I just checked the other option (playback only) but I've got the same result.
Rambird
The issue is still there apparently, encountered it yesterday on M1 (also in an old Logic Project). I mean honestly I love logic but I've been working in PT the last few months and damn that Melodyne integration is pretty nice.
