sunbrother
Cubase's browser (and a few others I think) has an incredibly useful feature that will play/choose a random file in the folder you are currently viewing. So if you open a folder of kicks or a view of things tagged "kick" Cubase can pick and preview random one from that set. This allows for more easily finding a random sample from a subset like "Dance kicks". Is there any way to approximate this workflow in Logic? sunbrother
I know Keyboard Maestro is popular around here so in case anybody else wants this here's the macro I created to approximate this. I'm not too well-versed in KM programming so individual screen coordinates may need tailoring for your specific monitor. Randomize Browser Selection (Logic).kmmacros.zip Use this Macro to select a random file in the Browser. Works in Gallery or Table view. Made in Keyboard Maestro 9.2 for Logic Pro 10.6.3.
