PJ Palone
Hey guys I am new here and new to logic. I am having some trouble with automation on my track I am on classic acid pattern track you will see that I am selected on the filter cutoff for rift with a gradual zero to 100%. but for some reason the filter goes back to zero a little over half way through the automation. And then jumps back in full blast when it gets to 100 You will see the play head is at a point in the automation where it should be at like 60% but has dropped to 0% Any Thoughts? And it’s doing this with any effect I put on there. Even the stock effects Every track is doing this with the automation. On everything vst or not. David Nahmani
Your images were not showing up so I fixed them for you. For references, to attach images in our forum, follow this: How to attach files to your post What is the name of the automation parameter in the automation parameter pop-up menu on the track (it's partly hidden on your screenshot but starts with a W...)? PJ Palone
Hi David Thank you for the help with the images. as for the automation pop-up window. That is the wet/dry for Echobode. The others are Cutoff for Rift Filter.
David Nahmani
Oh ok got it thanks. So then what happens if you redraw the automation curve? Like if you create a point in the middle of the slope for example, to force Logic to recalculate the entire slope? Does that help?
PJ Palone
Hey Success!!!! That worked Thank you so much for the help
PJ Palone
False alarm Sorta worked lol It made it through the automation further. but still snapped back to zero before it made it to 100% then back in full blast once we hit 100%
PJ Palone
Ahh but adding more automation points has done the trick I appreciate the help
David Nahmani
That's weird. What you could do is press Control-Command-E to open the Automation Event List. Then in the Automation Event List, click the "Additional Info" button to double check all the in-between values of your ramp, and see if they really increase incrementally as expected? OOoooh I see you're sorted for now. Ok, good to hear.

PJ Palone
NICE! Although your fix of adding automation points wasn't the worst work around to deal with. Thank you so much for your help with this and super stoked they have solved this one.
David Nahmani
You're welcome, glad my workaround kept you going while they were fixing this.
