joecc
Hi there, I try to record in a vocal using AKG C414, Microphone... Scarlett I8i20 interface...Logic Pro X..version 10.6.3...Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7...late 2013... I get a good level on interface, hitting just below red.... But, but.. \When files appears as audio on Logic track...it's just very, very SMALL.... I mean I have to normalise it.. I tried without compression, expander etc... I tried other mic too, Rhode NT 1A... when it's recording it looks ok, then it seems to change when it prints...on the track... Any ideas?... tx Joe
triplets
Can you post a screenshot of how hot the mic input reads in Logic on the armed audio track?

joecc
hi, Just replying to you So that's the file that appeared in the track. It should be bigger no? tx
triplets
It should be bigger no? Not really, peaking at -8 LUFS is a healthy input signal. You can always make it louder later in the mix.
joecc
Thanks... I just thought it would be bigger wavefile...when appears on the channell.. Y'know I think I made mistake of leaving on the low cut filter on the mic (AKG)...then also applying low cut on Logic's Channell... I think I went overboard with cutting there... David Nahmani
I think your levels and your waveform size are fine. Have a look at my answer to that previous topic: RE: Waveforms turn flat after export
