ODCUK
Hi, I've been searching high a low for this and not sure what else to do, please help! - I'm using Akai MPD232 with the latest version of Logic X Pro. Running Mojave v10.14.6 - I installed the 'MPD232 – Logic Pro X Mapping' (from Akai website) - Using the controller with drum machine designer in Logic The pads are assigned fine and I got the transport controls working (stop, play, record). However, I can't get the faders, knobs and buttons assigned, the assignments I want is; Faders (Bank A, B and C) > Track Volume 1-24 Knobs (Bank A, B and C) > Track Pan 1-24 Buttons (Bank A, B and C > Track Mute 1-24 I tried using a Logic Pro X Preset for the controller as well. e.g. https://www.noterepeat.com/products/akai-professional/keyboards/mpk-2-series/786-akai-pro-mpd232-setup-in-logic-pro-x The MPD232 does not appear in my 'Controller Assignments' area on Logic X, maybe this is relevant to the issue? THANKS IN ADVANCE! Oli
enossified
On the noterepeat website, it tells you to do two things. 1. Load the mapping file downloaded from their site (not from Akai...maybe it's different?) 2. Install the file com.apple.logic.pro.cs in the Preferences folder, overwriting whatever is already there Did you do both of these? #2 is how Logic will understand the mapping of the MPD. ODCUK
Hi @enossified, Thanks for your reply. I did both of these things twice but I didn't realise the note repeat mapping file was different to the one from Akai - will check that. Thanks, Oli
Solution ODCUK Posted November 29, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted November 29, 2021 Ok I managed to sort it. I'm not sure how or what I did differently but this morning I rebooted my computer and ran the same installation using the downloads from the Akai website and it now works. Cheers ODC
