Different controller sliders don't behave the same way in logic

Hello,

I have an m-audio oxygen pro mini and an akia apc 40 as my controllers for logic pro 10.7.1 I noticed the sliders on the oxygen pro mini; when set up to control the daw volume sliders, make the sliders jump to the location of the controller sliders position when the controller slider is moved. Whereas the controller sliders on the apc 40 dont move the daw volume sliders until the position of the controllers sliders match the position of the daw volume sliders. I would like to remove the apc 40 from my setup as its the mk2 old one and a lot of the faders don't work properly. The problem is that I want my oxygen pro mini sliders to work the way that the APC sliders do as explained above. Is there a way to change this possibly using the environment or even a third party plugin? If there is not a way to change the sliders is there a way to figure out how a controllers sliders work in logic pro x? I have done many many searchers and have not been able to find any information on this.

Thank you

To remove a controller from Logic, you have to disconnect it and then go in the Control Surface Setup window to delete its corresponding icon.

To adjust the Oxygen faders control reaction, in Logic's General Control Surfaces preferences, enable Pickup mode.

In M-Audio's lingo (p.10) that feature is called "soft takeover".

Thank you so much. Not only have you saved me a ton of headache, but the links provided are very useful. I can not thank you enough. This has been driving me crazy for a long time. I also have a novation mk2 49 key that just became a lot more useful beacues of the info provided. Thaks again.

Old thread but rather than create a new one, thought I'd ask here first.  I also have the Oxygen Pro Mini and I'm getting erratic and basically unusable behavior from it with the sliders.  I tried disabling the Pickup mode in Logic but didn't notice any difference one way or another.

I followed M Audio's instructions and setup was a breeze.  I quickly checked to see that everything worked, and it did.  Or so I thought.  Going back today and trying to actually use the sliders, I see that they aren't working properly.  Essentially, when I move a slider, regardless of its physical position, Logic track volume jumps to about -9.0 db and from that point the slider only affects the volume from -infiniti to around -9.5 db.  It also only works in the bottom half of the slider's range; nothing changes when the slider is moved above its mid point.  I've tried this with the sliders set to different starting positions and starting by moving both up and down, the result in Logic is always the same.

I'm guessing I'll need to either modify something in the Control Assignment Parameters or maybe simply use the learn command option but I'm just not sure.

edit: found I had missed a step in the setup, which was to change the parameter setting for value to 0 to 127.  It was initially set to 0 to 64
