Recently opened files - data

I lost a very important external hard drive, and I am trying to figure out when I last connected the harddrive to my Macbook Pro.

It seems that LogicX and Garageband contain some leftover data regarding the harddrive. Under "Open Recent", my music projects from the lost harddrive still appear. When I attempt to open of the files, "it says (the name of the harddrive) cannot be mounted".

Does anyone know where the raw data is stored for that "Open Recent" menu?

I'm hoping to find information about the specific dates in which those files were last opened.

The list of recently opened files is stored in Logic's preferences (or at least used to be). The are just references to where the original files were, on the external disk.

I'm pretty sure the dates of the files aren't stored there, it's just a list of X number of items (depending on what value is set for this), and every time you open a project, it's pushed to the top and the the last one is dropped.

Edit - I had a look and couldn't find this list in the normal Logic prefs, so I'm not sure how this is generated offhand. But regardless, I don't think you'll be getting any timestamps from this anyway, even if you do track it down.
