Roger9000
Hi, I have a Macbook pro (macOS Catalina 10.15.7) 13 inch 2019 and Logic 10.6.3 I have a live Midi instrument, and a live audio track (vocals) both plugged into Logic via a Roland SPD-SX drum pad interface. For some reason, when I play the Midi instrument, the signal is sent to the audio track before the Stereo Outs ? Its not a problem until I put an effect on the audio track, and the effect is now also on the Midi instrument before the Stereo Outs. I've tried to send the both the Midi and Audio tracks to Aux outs, but the same thing happens. Is there a setting ing Preferences that I have missed ? Thanks for your time ! Atlas007
What Midi instrument? Could you describe how did you set all that up in Logic?
Roger9000
Hey, thanks for getting back ! I'm using an Instrument 1, its like a midi guitar made by Artiphon - https://artiphon.com/pages/instrument1 I'm also singing with a wireless mic plugged into the audio in of a Roland SPD-SX drum pad, which i'm using as my interface to computer. When I play the midi guitar, the signal is sent to the vocal channel. I never noticed it before, and it wasn't a problem as I didn't want a different effect on my voice, but recently I have a reverb/delay on the vocals, and I have software monitoring turned on, as I can't hear the effect without it on, but when I turn on input monitoring on the vocal channel, thats when I get the effect of the vocal also on the Midi instrument as well. Would be great to somehow separate them. Hope this is clear enough, Thanks for your time
Atlas007
Where did you put the effect? Perhaps posting a screen capture of your Logic’s track area and the mixer as well could help providing a clear description?
