Disable MIDI controller in Logic (Keystep)

I want to disable an Arturia Keystep in Logic but it does not appear in the Control Surface Setup. I've tried Audio MIDI Setup and the Arturia MIDI Control Center but there's no option to disable the device in Logic.

 

Mind you, I want to keep the Keystep connected to the computer for other reasons.

 

Any suggestions ?

Do you mean disable the keys so they don't trigger an instrument? Do you have Logic 10.6.3 or did you update to 10.7 (they don't handle this the same way).

Yes, just disable the triggering.

You're welcome! In Logic 10.7, you can choose the desired port (or keyboard) as an input on any given MIDI or software instrument track.

Unless it's removed in 10.6-7, there's an "Inputs" tab in Logics midi preferences where you can deselect unwanted midi devices...

Thanks. But the Keystep doesn't show up in this view. I've just learned that the input must be connected to a "Monitor" object in the Environment to disconnect a keyboard/controller.

You mentioned Control Surface Setup, this isn't the same, so, did you really check ?
