Audio from QuickTime mov file doesn't play in Logic Pro X.

Hi,

I recorded a video of myself playing guitar in QuickTime [10.5 1086.4.2] & saved the .mov file.

I used an external mic -> through a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 into my iMac [big Sur Version11.4].

I was able to play the recording back.

When I either dragged the .mov file from the desktop into Logic Pro X, the first clue I had that something wasn't right was that the audio didn't automatically come into Logic even though I had 'Extract Audio' selected.

So I did a File | Import ... and imported the Audio from the .mov file.

The Audio track is now in Logic & I can see the wav file ... but it doesn't produce any sound and doesn't register that there's any sound being produced by the track.

Yesterday, I recorded the same piece using the iMac built in mic and everything worked just fine.

So ... I'm wondering if using the external mic through the Audio Interface is causing the problem.

I'd appreciate any help I can get.

I mean ... I COULD ... use the built in iMac mic ... but ...

Sincerely,

Robin
