Louis_francis
So when i record its slightly delayed, as in it comes in just after i want it to, i put it to scissors (editing mode i think) and i try to cut the front end off by pulling in the left corner but it doesn't move, am i doing something wrong, is there another mode or is it something you can't do? fusbur
Hi there That certainly shouldn't be happening. Check in Logic > Preferences > Audio and make sure Recording Delay is set to 0 first. Let us know if that solves the issue!
Louis_francis
Wow, fusbur that has solved the delay issue, thanks so much! Can you help me with the adjusting of the left corner?
fusbur
Hey If the recording is now in time, what's the need for moving the audio region? If you need to and it isn't moving check a) Your snap / drag settings b) You don't have the region SMPTE locked (padlock sign in the top left of the region). Louis_francis
Hi, so i wanted to adjust the comp of the tracks i had already recorded, i figured out a work around, plus i don't believe its possible.
fusbur
Hi If you're comping (ie quick-swipe comping, all on the same track) and you want to cut, say, an unwanted note from the start of the region, you'd need a blank comp to swipe in I think. Otherwise, flatten and merge and snip it. Is that what you mean?
Louis_francis
Hey fusbur, I found a work around so i didn't need it but i do believe it cant be done.
fusbur
Well if you figured out how to do then it can be done. Could you share your work around so others can see how you did it?

polanoid
So when i record its slightly delayed, as in it comes in just after i want it to, i put it to scissors (editing mode i think) and i try to cut the front end off by pulling in the left corner but it doesn't move, am i doing something wrong, is there another mode or is it something you can't do? The left corner of a Take Folder can not be dragged further right than the leftmost start of the contained Takes. Workaround: Just split the Take Folder at the desired position and delete the resulting snippet on the left
Louis_francis
Hey fusbar all i did, was unpacked the take folder and just cut of my desired take
Louis_francis
David that is exactly what i wanted to do at the time! Thank you for showing me that this is possible!
David Nahmani
David that is exactly what i wanted to do at the time! Thank you for showing me that this is possible! You're welcome! I believe polanoid is correct: you must have tried to move the left corner of the take folder. Instead, open the take folder and move the left corner of the individual take that starts the comp, as shown on my animation.
