joachim_s
Can I make a part be totally silent within a track folder? That is: I don't want to mute one of the takes for to hear another one. I want a passage within all of them to be absolutely silent.
Solution David Nahmani Posted January 19, 2022 Solution Share Posted January 19, 2022 Shift-click the section you want to mute:
joachim_s
Shift-click the section you want to mute: mute-take.gif Awesome! Of course I tried alt and cmd but not shift
joachim_s
Shift-click the section you want to mute: mute-take.gif So now it's not working anymore. As I try and mute a section all the other sections on the same take is muted. Edit: Was an issue of not highlighting the track. So it's working Edit 2: Actually it's not. It doesn't work on one instance of tracks.
David Nahmani
Make sure you shift-click the waveform, not the take name area? Can you share a screenshot of the example where this is not working?

David Nahmani
Are you still in Logic Pro 10.6 ? Perhaps a bug in your version... 10.6.3 It works as expected here in 10.6.3. Just make sure you shift-click the waveform, not the name area. Here you can see that when I shift-click the waveform, it silences the section, whereas if I shift-click the name area at the top of a take, then it deselects the entire take folder:
