Can't get multiple takes - overlapping regions appear instead [SOLVED]

All of a sudden, when I record twice on the same track, the 2nd recording just overlaps the 1st one instead of creating multiple takes that I can work with. I can click one or the other region and it seems to make it "primary" ? But I don't want that. I just want multiple takes in a take folder like normal. The weirdest part is that in the same file just minutes before, it DID create multiple takes on a different track. Also - it looks weird in the Flex mode editor, too. Like you can see both versions overlapping each other there. ???

DId you check your Recording preferences in Logic to see if Create Take Folder for Audio is selected?

Hmmm, that setting was already set correctly. But now after a computer reboot, Logic is working as expected. Seems finicky. But thank you! Now I know there is a setting about take folders.
