Beanz
Hi all Logic people - Happy New Year So I have an old 2013 Trash Can Mac Pro that I purchased when they came out It still does a good job but am thinking about the M1 Mini as I read great stuff about it for Logic (Yes I know as long as you use Logic plugs) I use lots of 3rd party plugs, so wonder should I simply grab more RAM for the can Currently, I have 16Gb, I can Max it out to 128Gb for £199, as I understand Logic loads the project into RAM or is the Mini M1 (soon to be M2 in autumn & up to 64Gb RAM) a better option, what do you all reckon? triplets
I would invest in the future. There's only so much Ram can do once the CPU can't keep up anymore. Make sure all the 3rd party stuff you use is M1 compatible. Some of them aren't. There's a list of compatible plugs on this forum: M1 Compatible Audio Plugins
