Bus question regarding output

Recommended Posts

another tip i learned from a mac pro vid was to take groups of tracks and set their output to a bus and then be able to control the level with one fader - i know this is like grouping tracks and then using one fader of the group to adjust all of that group levels

in my bus scenario though - if i pull the bus fader all the way down there is still signal from the grouped tracks coming through the mix - it's as if the bus is just adding the same signal back in

what am i doing wrong?

the concept of bus groups is cool when you start to think of all the stuff you can do

Sometimes I have to create a bus in the environment, so I can set it's output to off.

This is differnet than the Auz output that the bus feeds into.

Sometimes they are preset to off, but other times they are not.

I can't figure it out yet as to why.

Maybe songs I started in L7???

Yep. Bus objects in L8 are really legacy and probably only exist for L6-7 compatibility.
