Justin Vernon
Hi, The manual just does not describe how to do this in detail. It says what the Audio List is, which is exactly what I need to edit, but it does not really tell you how to open the List. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks, Justin Brooklyn, NY
David Nahmani
If you are talking about the Audio window, it is in Audio > Audio window
Justin Vernon
I'm talking about the 'Audio List' which is referenced in the manual. It says in the manual that this Audio List is a list of all the audio files in the current session, and items can be deleted from there. What I need to do is clean up a session for transport to someone else's studio, and I need to get rid of all the audio files that are not being used in this session, but which I have worked with in some form or another as the session was building. It's like a vertical text list of the audio files, their names, etc....... Does anyone know how to open that up? Thanks, Justin Brooklyn, NY
j
i know of no such thing. it must mean ... audio > audio window? as david says. this is where u can get rid of unused audio files, amongst doing loads of other things or file > project > clean up? theres the 'event list' window too, but thats not really the same thing. Plowman
"The Audio List" is the terminolgy used on page 353 in the Reference manual. It's describing the list of audio files as the main component of the Audio Window, opened as David noted. Beyond this (and Project Manager, as ~ j~ said) there are no other lists. In the Audio Window, the commands "select unused" and "optimize files" can help you in the process.
