Problem using flex in a project with tempo changes

Im editing a bass in a project using flex. The project changes tempo, a few bpm, during the chorus and a few bpm in the end of the song.

The problem is that it works fine til the tempo change accurs, then it get totally messed up, no sync whatsoever. I've ran out of ideas what the problem might be.

Any suggestions? Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

It works like a DREAM on projects that have a static tempo.

Are you using any specific track as a quantize template?

The interaction of using Flex and syncing up all the track can drive you up a wall at times. I actually got better results with beat mapping on one song. The tempo was slightly adjusted without flexing (expanding/compressing tracks) and everything came out natural sounding.

Yip.

I tried that and it works much better if you slice the section and then quantize it.

I did a tempo change and played some rhythm on the guitar. At measure 7.

I played steady 1/8 notes. Measure 8 was the tempo change until measure 12.

Flexing the entire track really messed it up. Selecting, slicing, then quantizing that section worked out well.
