Enabling Trillian automation? [SOLVED]

I'm no hero in midi messages etc so forgive me if i'm asking something basic.

 

But I can"t get Logic to automate Trillian. Just twisting a nob while "latch" doesn't work. I also don't see for ex 'cutoff' in the dropdown box in the automation section.

 

Any help please how to get this working.

I'm runnig Logic 9.1.1 on an intel iMac OS 10,5,8 . I have the latest version of trillian running.

 

The dropdown box, when viewing track automation in Logic is showing numbers 1-127 like so

8

9level

...

 

the numbers 10-127 don't have level written behind them. Level1 controls the volume of internal mixer within trillian...

 

I want to automate the controls on the main tab.

Is there some kind of utility in Trillian that allows you to assign parameters to host automation?

Just right- or control-click on the parameter you want to control and choose enable host automation.

Well, there ya go. That looks pretty clear to me.

 

Hmmm . . . If it takes say, 2 hours to read a plug-in manual carefully, then how long does it take to learn a whole plug-in by asking about each feature, one at a time, on an internet forum?

When it's an internet forum with highly knowledgeable people like Eric (and you, on 99% of the questions other than this one), then it's probably a hell of lot easier and more fun to ignore the book and just ask questions here.

Pretty old thread, but maybe someone can still give some insight.

 

When I enable host automation in Trillian to a parameter, it changes to 'host automation ID: 8' or what have you. If I set Logic to 'touch' or 'latch' the assigned parameter writes no automation. In the Logic automation drop down, Trillian does not show up at all. I'm assuming Trillian automation is no longer compatible with the updated version of Logic?
