nginear79
I just purchased the hdsp 9632 card from RME. I installed the card and the drivers. Logic and my system sees the card. When I push play in Logic there are meters in Logic and the HDSP 9632 mixer. BUT THERE IS NO SOUND!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? not even out of the Headphone outputs. Does anyone know what is going wrong?????? HELP!
David Nahmani
Does the driver come with a little software that you are supposed to launch? Something like a Control Panel...
nginear79
yes I installed everything. I just figured it out tho, there is an assignment section in the mixer for the card. I didnt see it right away because it doesn't really look like an assignment section. It looks more like a track name. but I assigned it to my outputs and wammo SOUND. Thanks for the reply!!!!!! David Nahmani
Sure thing. BTW my answer wasn't about the installation process itself, but about the fact that for some interfaces you have to actually launch that little application everytime before you launch Logic in order for the drivers to work. If that is the case you can remedy the "problem" by putting this app in your startup folder.
nginear79
oh I see what you mean. the 9632 apps automatically launch every time I boot up my mac. I dont even have to put them in the startup items. One more thing, (if I may) my system performance isnt much better since I installed the card. I was expecting for it to be MUCH lower than what it is on playback. ( the sound qualitly of the card is unbelieveable tho ) Is there any perference in Logic that I can set my CPU Usage Higher? or do you think this is an issue with the card and not Logic? Thanks Again!!! G4 1.25 1.25 RAM
nginear79
oh yeah... I changed my buffer to 256 and selected Larger Disc Buffer in my driver prefs. and moved my card up to slot 2 none of this really helped out to much
David Nahmani
Uncheck "Larger Disc Buffer", you don't need it on your system. The system performance doesn't have much to do with your audio interface, but with your computer, RAM and hard drive.
