Sunzate
Hey! I seem to have found a setting that causes playback to start 2 beats before where I put the playhead. Like a 2 beat pre-roll. Doesn't matter where I put the playhead - I always goes back 2 beats. How do I turn it off? Driving me crazy! Help! Cheers Adam

David Nahmani
Settings > Metronome.Settings > Recording. For playback? Sunzate, are you really experiencing that during playback or during recording? If during playback, then do you visually see the playhead jump back 2 beats to the left every time you press play? Do you have any cycles? Marquee selection? What playback modes are selected in your transport bar (when you control-click the play button)? Lincoln M
Hey! I seem to have found a setting that causes playback to start 2 beats before where I put the playhead. Like a 2 beat pre-roll. Doesn't matter where I put the playhead - I always goes back 2 beats. How do I turn it off? Driving me crazy! Help! Cheers Adam I am having the same problem all of a sudden. Pre and Post roll - 2 bars. If cycle is off, no pre roll. unable to turn off post roll. Metronome/Record/Play/Transport settings - everything related off. I am using 9.1.3 on 10.6.4 Mac Pro 2x2.66 w/ RME FFUC buffer set to 512. Any other Ideas?

Lincoln M
Since it took you five years to reply, I figured I'd wait three to make fun of you.
eddydenton
Since it took you three years to make fun of him, I figured I'd wait 2 more year to say he was actually wrong. Playback pre-roll is not under File>Project Setting>Audio. It is under Preferences>Audio>General>Playback pre-roll (uncheck).

How hard can it be to get pre roll right in a daw in 2019? (im on logic 10.4.6 still) WTF? Tried everything everyone has suggested here. Cant upload a simple quicktime video to this forum either. whats that about? https://imgur.com/a/NQtpKGj
