All Instruments have been rendered as audio so I have no VI's active. It has been suggeted I reinstall 10.3.8 via the combo??? Here are my system specs... curtis
Thanks for the input. I have only used 16 of the 80 gig. The drive currently has "light" fragmentation. Curtis

curtis
Chris, Thanks for the suggestions. I will try partitioning and get back to you. Curtis
sixerbuddy
Can't quite figure out whether you mean "this is a good thread" or "bloody hell - this is shite on a stick" I have to figure this problem out. I was running a G3 800 with 640 Megs and, last week, bought a G4 1.2 and maxed out the RAM to be able to record vocals. My G3 had been just at its limits in terms of playing tracks that I have, but I wasn't going to be able to add vocals. But now with my new G4 I can't even play my songs that the G3 cruised through. I don't understand why I should have to partition my drive when I now have double the ram and 50 % more CPU. Nevertheless I guess I will have to look closely at the thread above to see if it is a solution. Why isn't my iBook fast enough, when the old one almost was? sb
sixerbuddy
Oops. That last post wasn't intended to be a quote. Only the first bit. sb
