Matchless
Hopefully someone can help with this. I'm fairly new to the midi studio world, so don't assume anything. I'm running my K-2000 as controller into channel 1 input on a Motu midi time piece. I'm using a JV-2080 as my sound module, plugged into channel 2 input. From the click and ports layer of Logic, I can click on the physical input and get it to trigger sounds from the JV-2080. I have the subchannels setup in the arrange window and can change to the drum map, click on the physical input and get drums sounds. My problem is I can't get my controller to be able to trigger any sounds. The Time Piece is seeing the input on channel 1, but that's all I get. anyone... David Nahmani
My problem is I can't get my controller to be able to trigger any sounds. Do you have the physical input cabled into a monitor, cabled into a sequencer input? When playing your K2000, can you see the MIDI info on that monitor? Yes physical input cabled to monitor into sequencer input. No K-2000 midi info is not showing up on monitor.
David Nahmani
On your K2000, press the MIDI button. You'll see a bunch of parameters, the 3rd one is called "Control". Make sure it is set to "MIDI".

David Nahmani
After changing it to MIDI, you still don't see anything on your Monitor (after the physical input object) in Logic? .. a few ideas: Are you sure the SUM output of the physical object is cabled into the monitor? Did you check that you have a MIDI cable going from the MIDI OUT of your K2000 into the MIDI IN of your MTP? Did you corrrectly install the latest Midi driver for the MTP? Matchless
Problem solved. Under OMS input connections. Connect all real oms instrument inputs with logic. Thanks to Jeremy at Sonic Cellar for the solution. Edited April 5, 2005 by Matchless
