Do any of you guys use the "midi triggered" sidechain function in effectrix? Im trying to put a vinyl type effect on my bassline in my drop. If someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated! Jordi Torres Posted July 2, 2012 Share Posted July 2, 2012 You need to load Effectrix as a MIDI-controlled effect from the instrument slot of a software channel strip (look for the the AU MIDI-controlled Effects submenu). After doing that, you route any audio you want to process with Effectrix via the sidechain input menu in the plug-in window (upper right). J. tiggaman56 Posted July 2, 2012 Author Share Posted July 2, 2012 Right, I knew that it needed to be loaded as midi controlled effect but the routing is where I got mixed up... so the sidechain that I select should be the channel with the midi info ? should I route it to a bus first? thanks a lot!! No: you route any audio you want to process with Effectrix via the sidechain input menu The MIDI performance needs to be routed to the software instrument channel strip where you've inserted Effectrix.
