joelnewport
Hello group, I have a strange problem. I can't audition aif or wav files from within logic. I CAN preview mp3 files! Of course the aif and wavs play fine when opened and placed, it's just the preview. I have already tried new prefs. Any other thoughts. Cheers, Joel
David Nahmani
Launch / Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup ... and select the "Audio Devices" pane. Set the "Default Output" to whatever Audio Interface you are using with Logic.
joelnewport
David Sorry for the late reply. I got sick and it layed me up for the last couple of weeks. We have set the audio midi utility. It's set to built in, as this system has no hardware. It just seems very strange to me that it will audition MP3 files but nothing else! Thanks, Joel
David Nahmani
Hey Joel.. I want to confirm that when AMS is set to "Built-in", the preview of AIFF and WAV files doesn't work. The preview of mp3 files works fine. When set to my audio interface (a Metric Halo ULN2), the preview of any type of file, AIFF, WAV and mp3 works just fine. I am not sure why this is....
