About 12-15 audio files off a FireWire drive, Iomega go drive not sure of the rpm. Should I be extracting audio files from the external? If you save your project onto your system drive and play it from there, do the errors disappear? What does the HD meter say at the time of the alerts? RPM 5400, FW800, no, and: Disk is too slow or System Overload. (-10010) The Sudden Motion Sensor may have parked the hard drive head, or the disk performance is not sufficient to read or write all audio tracks, or the system was not able to process all data in time. Atlas007 Posted August 7, 2012 Share Posted August 7, 2012 This may sound trivial but if you are running other application (in the background also) such as backup utilities that often comes with external drives or Time Machine, virtual drives, etc..., it could interfere with Logic. 5400rpm... David Nahmani Posted August 7, 2012 Share Posted August 7, 2012 what's an example of a "streaming" sample library please? The EXS24 with virtual memory turned on. Most large sample libraries. Here's a test you can try: under Preferences > Audio > General, set Track Mute/Solo to CPU-saving. Now mute your sampler tracks. See if the behavior changes.
