5c077ie
Hi guys, When i am automating the pitch bend in Logic hyper editor the pitch doesn't really move up a lot. I need it to go up a few octaves, Ive set it to 63 which the highest the bar will go but the notes dont follow as high as i expect them to. Is there a reason for this or something simple i need to do. Thanks
Eriksimon
The Pitch bend range can/must be set on most Software Instruments, and is by default most commonly set to ± 2 semitones, and usually the range is maximally plus or minus 1 octave. What instrument are you (ab)using for this?

Eric Cardenas
Im not using an instrument i am just drawing it in in the hyper editor Erik is asking you which instrument you are trying too pitch bend? ES2? EXS24?
David Nahmani
Im not using an instrument What you're drawing in the Hyper Editor is MIDI data. MIDI data is then routed to an instrument, and that instrument generates sound. There can be no sound without an instrument. So if you hear notes and pitch bending, that means you have an instrument. If you're using a software instrument track then the instrument is the plug-in loaded into the instrument slot (the first one below where it says "i/o" on the channel strip). The instrument, and the instrument alone, determines the range of the pitch bend. Each instrument has its own pitch bend range (aka bender range, etc...). Sometimes you can set independent ranges for bending up vs bending down:

musikmike
Any idea how to change the bend range for Serum? i'm automating in piano roll up and down 64, but that only takes me up or down a whole step, would be excellent to be able to glide to 3 or 4?
