nextdimension
Hi I'm new here and to logic. I am trying to bounce my entire project to itunes but I am never able to get it to bounce all the tracks. I have watched quite a few tutorials and followed them to the T but nothing seems to work. Every time the only track that bounces is the one that was selected last. Even if I select all tracks and leave nothing muted or soloed it will still only bounce the track that was last clicked on. I have tried bouncing by region and in place by track always with the same results. What am I doing wrong? Please help, I hope I'm explaining this well. Thank you
Eric Cardenas
Just hit the Bounce Icon on the Tool bar. Make sure that you have nothing selected in the arrange to ensure that you get the whole song.
nextdimension
Thats what I've been doing. How do I unselect something? It seems like there always has to be at least one track selected and that is the only one that bounces.
Jimi-Dharma
There are 2 bounce buttons. One on the upper tool bar, and one on your output channel strip in the mixer, the one you want to hit is on the bottom of the master output channel strip. Hope that resolves. This way doesn't matter what you have selected or deselected,, if it's not muted and it's playing when you hit play,, it will be included in the bounce. Scott Jackson
How do I unselect something? Click on the empty background of the Arrange window beneath the last track.
nextdimension
Tried all of that, it still always just bounces one track. This is what my screen looks like. I've hit bounce in every single location and the only track it will bounce is the one that is highlighted, on the left under global tracks, in this case track 6 Dubwise. You can see that nothing is selected anywhere else. I've tried to unselect the mixers and all the regions but thats not enough it will always do the same thing. I can't figure out how to have nothing in that column selected, but that shouldn't matter, every tutorial on this I have seen had one track selected in this column but it would still bounce all the tracks. What am I doing wrong or is this a bug?

n6smith
You are aware you have several tracks muted? See the blue 'm''s in the track headers for the first track for example.. Also, instead of pressing a button.. (to help eliminate any misunderstandings..) Just press Command and B.... set up your start and finish time.. select the type of file you wish to output to and press bounce..
David Nahmani
A couple of issues I see on your screenshots: 1) You have Logic in slave mode. If that wasn't intentional, then choose Settings > Synchronization and set Sync Mode = internal. Your ruler should no longer shaded in blue. 2) Your first track "Rock Stack" has a surround output. If that wasn't intentional, then click the rectangle that says "surround" on that channel strip and choose Output > Stereo Output.

David Nahmani
And you have Cycle Mode turned on. That's not an issue. A lot of people bounce with Cycle mode turned on.
nextdimension
Awesome! Thank you David, it must have been the slave mode cause it works now. I had it set like that for tap tempo on the keyboard. Good to know to change it back when I bounce. The muted tracks are intentional and weren't part of the problem. Thanks again!
