bombjack
Thanks! What happens if you select that region / audio and then zoom in and / or out? I think that's when it turns itself off. At least looks like it on my side.

bombjack
Weird! Could this be some setting?
Eric Cardenas
Your transport is not on. Try pressing play and then start zooming.
bombjack
Thanks! Ok, that works but still didn't give me what I would like... This solves my 'problem' though: Control-Click the Catch button and use this setting: Catch when starting playback: Turns on Catch mode whenever you click Play or Pause. Zooming while Transport is off will still turn it off but as soon as you hit Play it will turn on again. Thanks guys!
David Nahmani
Zooming while Transport is off will still turn it off but as soon as you hit Play it will turn on again. This is due to Logic's zooming behavior: when a region is selected AND that selected region is visible on your screen, then zooming in horizontally anchors the left edge of that region into position on screen: Logic assumes you're trying to zoom in on the beginning of that selected region. Understanding that, it wouldn't make sense for Logic to keep the playhead on screen, moving the selected region out of view when zooming on it. bombjack
I guess this wasn't a feature after all... It seems fixed in 10.4.
