Logic Changing the volume of samples when using velocity based sampling? (Sampler / EXS24)

Sun Oct 25, 2020 11:40 am

Recently resolved an issue of this nature for someone who had wanted to use a random percussion technique they had seen whereby triggering random velocities Logic would play different samples, but on execution they had realised logic, by default in the new EXS24 (Sampler) lowers the gain of of the sample based on the velocity, this is something that can be annoying but is easily fixed by:

Opening the logic Sampler

Navigating to the ENV 1 AMP section

Dragging the VEL (Velocity) fader on the right side of the panel to zero

Try using the random sample method again, this will no longer be a problem
I haven't heard about these poor reviews or experienced any bugs that they may have spoken of. I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012 version that runs Logic Pro X fairly smoothly even when there are 15+ tracks all playing midi notes at one time. When too many tracks are eventually brought in, I just lower the sample rate and things work smoothly from there. I LOVE Logic Pro X :)agency banking model
