vanhaze
Dear people, I am always into further optimizing speed of workflow in a DAW. I use Reaper which has insane features concerning this.(Macros, Actions, Scripts). But Logic always attracted to me for its great GUI and great FX/ virtual instruments. Some Logic user out there has experience with both Keyboard Maestro and Slate Digital Batch Commander for making macro's in Logic ? Would you prefer one ? And which one has the best mouse clicking features ? In Reaper you have "Mouse Modifiers" feature which can link Actions (macros) to contextual mouse clicks anywhere. If there is some possibility to make this happen in Logic with Keyboard Maestro and/or Batch Commander ? Maybe i then would switch for real to Logic (again) . :0)
heilei
I have no experience with Slate Digital Batch Commander, but I've used Keyboard Maestro (KM) for 15+ years, and haven't yet found a problem that KM couldn't solve. Lots of options for macros, scripting and mouse clicking operations.
vanhaze
That's good to hear, many thanks for the effort !
heilei
No problem. If you're interested in mouse click operations specifically, I can send you a few screenshots of all the various options that KM has to offer (in case they're not described on the product's web page). heilei
Ok, I will send them with a PM. (EDIT: ...which I sent over half an hour ago, and it's still sitting in my message outbox, waiting to be delivered... I'll try email if this won't work) (EDIT2: ...and now that I know how PMs actually work, we can forget all that. Thanks KC.) KC
I'm interested too, in how you're using KM within Logic. Can you describe some of the stuff you accomplish via KM that you can't do with Logic's key commands? I've looked at KM for years, but always thought it was overkill for me. heilei
Sorry for the misunderstanding: I have actually never used KM with Logic (I think...); I've always found that Logic's built-in key commands are more than enough for my (modest) needs. So until the receiver opens the message, it remains in your Outbox - it doesn't mean it hasn't been sent yet. (t's also a nice way to see if some one read your message yet) Thanks kc

Ah - OK. That's kind of the conclusion I came to as well. Which is why I haven't jumped into KM yet. I know there are a ton of things you can do with it, but I am pretty covered outside of Logic with Alfred and BetterTouchTool. KC
Not too much. But enough to be dangerous
