triplets Posted May 27, 2017 Share Posted May 27, 2017 There's no way you can make sampled drums sound like that because of many elements: Most important, great player Great sounding drum kit, probably tuned meticulously Great sounding room Great mics Great sounding mixing board with some great outboard gear (that plate on the snare, shimmery) You would have to research how many layers on the kit with overheads and room mics. I would really take some time to find out how they recorded those drums and if there's an interview about mixing from the actual engineer.
