slash75
I am recording my guitar straight into my interface and then into Logic. I just cannot seem to find any usable tones from the Logic Amp Sims. I have tried tweaking these for hours on end and they do not sound realistic to me. I basically want the sound of Tube amp distortion without the amp. I am unable to play at high volumes where I live and micing an amp is not an option. Are there any "amp in box" type pedals that would get me close to a tube amp sound? triplets
Are there any "amp in box" type pedals that would get me close to a tube amp sound? Nothing convincing. Some people swear by the Kemper amps, but that's a pricey option. I personally use these and they allow me to use my amp head at 2 in the morning. http://www.axetrak.com/benefits.asp
Ploki
Try Voxengo TubeAmp plugin or WaveArts Tube Saturator (Freebies), and used them in combination with another guitar amp software. might add some extra "oomph" you're missing. Also, try LePou plugins, with decent cab IRs (like Kazr)

Wolfie2112
The Logic amp sims are just plain awful. Also have a look at https://www.scuffhamamps.com/
