Help creating a custom reverb?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! Looking for some help to create this effect:

(as linked at 6:53)

That Infinity effect sounds really nice as it makes it seem like the piano notes have way higher sustain.

So how do I create such a reverb that actually stops when I release the note? Or that keeps going if I sustain pedal a certain note?

I have Valhalla's products (that was a good spending spree) and also Fabfilter's suite.

Any ideas, advice, tips, input would be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

FabFilter pro-G loaded as a software instrument (not on an insert!), route the piano into the Pro-G via sidechain (you can just select the piano track as the source, no need to bus it)

Then use midi notes to control gate on/off on the Pro-G.

Then for the reverb, Audio Damage Eos. (Eos1 used to be free. eos2 is 50$ dollars, it has the huge reverb fx)
