mkm511
Hello, I would like to know how to use my drum machine with my logic project - not necessarily to use my drum machine as a sequencer or to trigger any plugins/instruments on my project, but just using its own sounds from its output in time with my project. The main issue I'm having is that the BPM counters from the Roland and logic are not exactly matched, so any output recorded into logic cant me transposed onto the time grids properly. I just want to be able to get it so that I can match the BPMs in Logic and on my hardware up. I have a MIDI USB interface, and a focusrite scarlett audio interface (no MIDI connections). stardustmedia
For synchronising, you have to use MIDI Clock. Send this to your TR626 and make sure it clocks to it. If the TR626 support MMC (MIDI Machine Control), you can also start/stop it from Logic. About audio, there are different scenarios: - External mixer, where Logic and TR626 are mixed = No latency. When you then want to record the TR626, you just route the signal into your Focusrite. Probably you will need to aligne the region manually, because there will be a slight latency. - Routing TR626 into Logic then back out thru the Logic mixer = Latency. For this option, I'm not sure how to handle the delay for the TR626. Whenever I record, I always double check the latency. I always have issues with that. Depending on the session size (amount of plugins and routings), the delay is bigger.
