Eric Wikman
https://www.cdw.com/shop/products/Kinesis-Advantage-3-Pedal-foot-switch-wired/3626293.aspx?RecommendedForEDC=1829383&RecoType=RP&cm_sp=Product-_-Session&ProgramIdentifier=3 Does anyone know if these type of USB pedals work in Logic Pro X as foot punch etc? Or are there any music companies who make us something simple? Thanks! Eric
Eric Wikman
Or might this work better? https://www.amazon.com/Logidy-UMI3-MIDI-over-Controller/dp/B002YL81RW
Eric Cardenas
The Logidy one looks good to me. You can set it up to sent note on/off, CC or PC.
Eric Wikman
Hey thanks Eric... once again! By any chance do you know if I also got one of those cheap USB foot pedals from a computer store/supply... I would be able to learn/assign that in Logic Pro X or would it not recognize it? They are like $13. I'm surprised the music industry doesn't make that yet.
MikeRobinson
You can pretty-much always make "anything" work. To me, it comes down to this: How much do you want to support the retirement-accounts of (the executives of) your favorite companies? How much work do you really want to do yourself? How much do you want it to look k-e-w-e-l? To me: "it's a set of pedals. Don't over-think this." Buy what you like, without mortgaging the farm, then use the hell out of it to make music! mdee
I plugged an unused sustain pedal into the footswitch jack on the back of my MOTU Interface. I have it set to Record from the beginning. Not 100% ideal as I have to reach over to hit the Spacebar to stop. The Logidy Pedal in the link above might be the way to go.

mdee
I got the Logidy pedal now. Works great! No regrets. thanks everyone. Curious... How do you have it set up? Thanks
Eric Wikman
1. Record toggle (hands free punch I/O to fix parts) 2. Track Arm / Rec (toggle) 3. Record for now... until I find another assignment I would use more when recording a real instrument.
