Radiussound
Hello, Currently I own a MBP retina, 2,5 ghz i7, 16 GB of RAM. Logic Pro runs smoothly bur I notice the RAM gets full when I use large orchestral templates. Aim is to double or triple the amount of Kontakt and other plugins. I am thinking of using Vienna Ensemble Pro together with a slave PC. Is it really going go give me a lot more work power when I use a slave machine with Vienna Ensemble Pro? I know this forums is not meant for PC questions, but if I am going to use a pc purely as a slave machine, can I load MAC Audio Units also? Thanks a lot. Wolfie2112
And to add to that, no, the AU stuff will not work on PC. You just need to download the PC versions of your VI's (usually included with your original purchase). Are you running your libraries from an external SSD? If not, I highly recommend exploring that route first. I am able to run decent sized projects on my MacBook (same as yours), streaming the bigger VI's from a SSD (Hollywood Orchestra Gold, HW Choirs, Omnisphere, etc). I just upgraded to a Samsung 500GB T5, connected to USB3, and it's awesome.
