ddi Posted January 2, 2018 Share Posted January 2, 2018 I have an iMac and MacBook Pro 1tb glyph hard drive iMac connects via firewire800 .... USB 3.0 for my MacBook Pro .. how can I set up so that I can read my samples from the external hard drive on both computers at the same time ? I know its no big deal unplugging the lead every time I want to switch devices, but just wondered why I had to do so ? is there something I am missing here maybe? I've gotten myself confused reading about 'sharing' the hard drive over a network ?? would this "network" be wi fi ? if so would that not defeat the object of using USB 3.0 for speed ? theres only one place I know id get a straight answer an thats on here from you guys hopefully Eric or David are about thanks in advance people Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
