Lost My Audio Interface

Recommended Posts

Just upgraded to OS X Sierra so I could access the new Logic Pro X 10.4.0 My Audio Interface is an M-Audio Profire 2626. After upgrading to LP X 10.4.0 I get a message saying that no Profire 2626 is plugged in. I tried reloading the drivers off of the disc I received at time of purchase but I got an "unsuccessful" message. I went to the M-Audio website to check for any new drivers but there are none. Please help. I have no audio interface and I am dead in the water until I can get this figured this out.

Here is what I would try.....

The last know version/driver is 2.4.4 under 10.10.

I believe SIP was introduced in 10.11

I would

1/ disable SIP

2/ reinstall the driver

3/ see if that works..

How to turn off System Integrity Protection

Click the  menu.

Select Restart...

Hold down command-R to boot into the Recovery System.

Click the Utilities menu and select Terminal.

Type csrutil disable and press return.

Close the Terminal app.

Click the  menu and select Restart....

if you are running high sierra and need to have the run from anywhere option aviable in order to run the driver app you downloaded from m-audio you may also need to do the following before you run the installation

Quit out of System Preferences

Open the Terminal app from the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and then enter the following command syntax:

sudo spctl --master-disable

Hit return and authenticate with an admin password
