Joe Lonsdale
Is this because my Mac is old (2009) or because I have missed intermediate upgrade steps (currently 10.11.6)? Would love to get Logic 10.4!
Makzimia
If your Mac is a 4,1 you cannot upgrade/install that. What you would need to do is flash your firmware to make your Mac think it's a 5,1. There are a lot of videos on YouTube how to do that, then you'll be good to go . Tony
Joe Lonsdale
Looks easy enough as you suggested. Is that going to affect my dual-boot 10.6.8 partition? Will I still be able to run 10.6.8?
Makzimia
@Joelonsdale the move to 5,1 as a firmware version, shouldn't, but, as always make sure. I have not had to do it, I simply suggested it as a solution, and it is definitely the fix you need to move on .
