SideBMusic
The High Road, by Broken Bells Instead of a "bop" or "bap" sound, it is more like "ch". In addition to Logic Pro X I have the EZDrummer plugin. I created the rhythm, but the snare needs the "ch" effect. Can you help?
David Nahmani
It sounds like a loose snare. You could try doubling the snare with a noise generator (for example in Ultrabeat) with the right envelope settings... but ideally you'd want to find a snare drum sample that sounds like that. To my ears, this sounds like a reasonable explanation.
redlogic
Maybe try brushes instead of sticks.
fuzzfilth
That's a pretty low tuned, considerably damped snare, played softly, possibly with hot rods, with the bottom mic (the one near the actual snare wires) turned up loud. And there's loose claps on the intro, the choruses and the outro, obviously.
SideBMusic
FYI, what I wound up doing is I found an audio loop that had a "cheh" sound to it. I had to cut it up to follow the snare drum, which turned out to be a bit of work. I know, probably an amateur way to go about doing it. But, I got a sound I liked. I have since purchased some add-ons for EZDrummer. Perhaps I'll have better luck finding some of the solutions recommended. I much appreciate the assistance and knowledge in this forum.
