Plowman Posted June 22, 2020 Share Posted June 22, 2020 This evening pads 5 and 6 (which respectively send out C3 and C#3 on channel 10) began to falter. Strangely, now they only send note off messages. It seems a strange way for pads to die -- just send note offs. It's also curious that the only two pads to misfire are adjacent. They light up as usual when I press them. This tiny keyboard is integral to my Environment as I use it for keyswitches and channel selection. I've created transformers to create note ons from the note offs, so things are functional for now. But if anyone has hardware repair ideas or common experiences, I'd welcome them. Plowman Posted June 22, 2020 Author Share Posted June 22, 2020 I had accidentally assigned pads 5 and 6 to two Smart Controls. When you do this, the Control Surfaces assignments use only the Note Ons, of course, so the messages never reach the Environment.
