xtremecream
hey guys, im fairly new to compression and i cant really understand how to avoid the first note peak in a song. Im getting a solid 2 db difference between my first note and latter ones on a kick track. anyone know a way around this?
triplets
Try making the attack faster. And turn off auto gain on the compressors.
xtremecream
i messed with the compressors a lot no to avail. i feel like this could only be fixed by using some "look ahead function"in which there would be a gain reduction before the onset of the sound itself. i achieved this by using a limiter on the track, though i feel like this deprived the kick of some bass. if anyone has more suggestions, please post
David Nahmani
Is this a MIDI or audio kick? If it's MIDI, save a copy of the file with only that track and attach it here: How to attach files to your post
