karlingen
Say you're working with Vocals and you have a Take Folder with 10 takes. Before determining which part of each take you decide to be the main vocal, do you usually add a few plugins such as pitch correction and/or compression just to get an idea of how it'll sound when you start to work with the entire track? Atlas007
I think that would depends on the stage you are at with the track and also on your workflow. For instance, if you are hunting for bits to correct (hisses, pops, plosives, etc...) you would avoid using FXes that would mask them. OTOH, if you are at picking the right combination, using FXes in context (that you wish to use in the track) that would help on choosing the takes and combination that fits the bill. Nevertheless, keeping an A/B approach would prove being useful...
triplets
I would comp the best performance out of those takes and then worry about details later.
Ploki
if i'm gonna use autotune as an fx (not as correction) i always comp into autotune. if not, no, i usually edit dry.
