microkid
I am thinking of buying one of the new Mac Mini M1s as a secondary system - I can not justify the Aprice to spec up the hard drive, so my question is, if I but the 256GB model and use a 1TB External SSD drive can I record and mix large projects to it? Is it going to be as good as an internal drive - I produce varied stuff. From recording live bands to 24 inputs over a long period of time (1 + hour) to long classical recordings at 192 or 96K. Ploki
I bought the 512 model and use Crucial 1TB SSD in a USb3.1g2 10gbps case, and Samsung Evo 970 in a Leidian Aliexpress Thunderbolt 3 case. both work fine, both connected to my CalDigit TS3+
