SeleN
Dear Pro's I'd like to establish a fixed midicommunication channel between two macs via the thunderbolt bridge with a unique IP for each mac in the audio midi set up. i know how to establish a midi connection using the audio midi utility (and it also works), but my intention is to assure a "fixed" IP (not a self assigned DHCP) for the midi connection via thunderbolt between my two macs. any thoughts on it ? Thanx for your help in advance !

fuzzfilth
Great. Just don't tell anyone how you did it, so you keep an edge over everyone else.
SeleN
oh man you again ? i remember your post on logicuser.de. about my intention to reactivate/integrate my old mac in a new system https://www.logicuser.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=76010&start=30 see also my discussion on this topic on https://www.logicuser.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=77256 Fact is: it isn‘t working „smoothly“, greatest issue seems to be sync clocking signals combined with transmitted midi notes. so i dont want to keep an edge over everyone else, sir there was zero reaction til now… i just cannot present a perfect solution except: use „ normal“ network connections for the rtp midi and udp protocoll. That‘s what i could figure out, but i‘ll keep on..
