Installing Logic Pro Beginner Help! External SSD

Sun Jun 13, 2021 7:54 pm

Hey guys,

I am about to install Logic for the first time, before i go ahead and do this I want to make sure I do it correctly from the start so I don't have to muck around with it later.

So, heres my question:
I plan to keep all the sound files on an external SSD because my mac has limited space. I already formatted the SSD to APFS and it's good to go. Now, should I install the sounds firstly onto my Mac, and then relocate to SSD? Or is there another way/ better way to do this?

Would really appreciate some help here :)

Yes, install all the Logic sounds first on your Mac, and then use the Relocate function in the Library manager. Don’t do it manually.
