Solution fuzzfilth Posted August 6, 2021 Solution Share Posted August 6, 2021 A tuner does not tune, it shows you the tuning of a sound source. The more accurate it gets, the more the needle or numbers or strobe jump around, making it more difficult to tune properly. What do you want to achieve ? Why don't you use your ears ? Craig6973
Yes the tuner is a visual tool to show a possible tuning of the sound source What do you want to achieve ? To Be in correct intune to a pitch or note Ok I have this very short a sample sound 1.First use Logic default tuner just to see what pitch or possibly note I can start to work with 2.Then I use my ears and logics piano to see if I could find the root or any possible note to work with using the piano and playing the sound at same time and this is where the problem is A.using the logics tuner was either very flat or ver sharp not in tune B.Now when play sample sound up against piano to hear them both sounding together it is just off like it was smeared between the two notes if that make senses? but again not in tune So I want to learn what are the other possible approaches to bring this sound to be in correct tune I will make a zip file of sample sound and send upload it
fuzzfilth
Tuning by ear is the fastest and most accurate method, by far, especially with non-musical samples.
