I'm getting this Message: Disk is too slow or System Overload.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a GREAT Labor Day Weekend!

I'm getting the following Message on a few of my Projects:

Disk is too slow or System Overload.

I'm recording directly to my internal SSD 2TB Hard Drive, so what's the best way to avoid the constant interruptions during playback?

Record to a different hard drive, close all my open tabs on my various browsers, whatever, etc?

I have a mid 2012 15" Macbook Pro i7 Quad Core with 16GB RAM, and as noted, an internal 2TB SSD.

Hello my true buddy, how have you been, I hope all is well for you in California!

I just counted how many windows I have open, and it's:

1) 32 in Chrome.

2) 12 in Firefox.

3) 9 in Safari.

4) Photos.

5) iTunes.

Am I safe in now assuming (uh-oh :) ) that that's using a LOT of my computers processing power? :) :) :)

Thanks,

Jerry

Most likely, yes. Even just a few Chrome tabs/windows can bring your Mac to a halt depending on what they're doing exactly (video playback, web apps....).

That did it David!

Thanks to everyone!

Jerry
