white noise thru monitors on ensemble?

I just recieved my ensemble in the mail and the sound quality is amazing. The weird thing is I am getting a white noise through my monitors when there is no sound going thru them even when i turm them all the way down on the control.. This never happened on my 003 because I usually just hit mute and I heard nothing. My monitors are tannoy system 800a and are in perfect condition.

Any clues?

anyone help? Does anyone else have this problem with this card? Is this card supposed to be used with a mixing board? The thing is this never happened with my 003 or my 002. Whats going on?

I'm having the same issue. But I hear it only when I have vol on speaker up high... I have ordered Mogami cables because i dont have the best of cables now. So i didnt want to post to make sure it was not my cables. But i have the Ensemble connect to JBL 4329 1-2 1/4"... Sound like Power line hiss

Could be the cables, interference in the room. If you hit mute before maybe you've never noticed but it was always there.

My Ensemble is very quiet, I have to put my ears up to the horn to hear the normal hiss.

 

Make sure you have your output on the ensemble set the same as the speakers, +4 on Tannoy, +4 on the ensemble. This could make it a little more noisy if not.

 

I am using TRS 1/4" to XLR into JBL LSR 4328P.

i had this problem and found that it was because a preamp that i wasn't using had it's volume up way too loud. Took me hours to discover that .
